The Zensei Kami looks different: it has the curved shape of a traditional pipe, with a rechargeable battery, a ceramic heating plate and a digital display built in. You load a small amount of concentrate into the pod, choose your voltage and heat with a single button.

Voltage control: how the Kami heats
The Kami works with voltage, not with a temperature setting in degrees. A lower voltage heats more gently, a higher voltage heats more intensely. Because you can adjust in 0.1V steps, you can fine-tune the setting instead of choosing from a few fixed levels. A practical approach is to start at a low voltage and increase it step by step until it suits you.
